John Steed is the founder of Ski Trip Advisors LLC, where he combines his love of skiing with over 20 years of experience in the travel industry to help travelers create unforgettable mountain vacations.
A lifelong skier, avid traveler, foodie, and mountain bike enthusiast, John started Ski Trip Advisors in 2001 with a simple goal: to make planning ski trips easier, more personal, and truly tailored to each traveler’s needs. Before founding Ski Trip Advisors, John gained invaluable hospitality experience by opening hotels for Marriott International, which helped shape his understanding of exceptional service and guest experiences.
John has skied and snowboarded all over the world, from the Alps to the Rockies, and uses this firsthand knowledge to help his clients plan the perfect ski vacation tailored to their needs and preferences. Since incorporating the company in 2007, he has built a team that shares his passion for the sport and dedication to personalized customer service.
His expertise and insights have been featured in major publications including The Washington Post, USA Today, and on The Ellen Show, reflecting his deep knowledge of ski travel and his commitment to helping clients have the best experiences possible. John is also a passionate animal rights advocate, championing causes close to his heart.
When he’s not helping travelers plan their dream ski vacations, John can be found exploring the backcountry of Colorado and Utah with his trusty sidekick, Rudy, the German Shepherd, mountain biking, sampling new culinary experiences, or enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
